Just here for a quick praise post about The Body Shop! No, it is not sponsored in any way- just my own thoughts and praise. I love The Body Shop! They market themselves as naturally and ethically produced, something that makes me love them more. I've been purchasing things there ever since I was a little girl and they sold loose bath beads by the pound. It was like being in a candy store when my mom would let me get a baggie and collect a few different delicious smelling treats! Here's a few of my past and current favorites that will last in my make-up collection. All prices listed were gathered from The Body Shop Website and may vary slightly in your area.
Chocolate Box Shimmer Cube-06, $11.
* This quad is darn near perfect for warm toned skin in the summer. All the colors are beautifully shimmery, have great lasting power and color payoff, and are easily removable. They are gorgeous and affordable!
*They also have a cooler toned quad, as well as some brighter colored quads to add extra fun to your looks. This quad transitioned me from summer to fall, winter and back for the better portion of 5 years. It is a permanent must-have...
Satsuma Body Butter, $20.
* This stuff smells heavenly. I am usually somewhat sensitive to strong smells and do not like "sweet" smells but this is just in a world of its own. It's got a tangy but sweet smell that is just amazing. It's thick but blends into the skin nicely without leaving much grease, either.
* It is also often on sale for 1/2 price or on other various deals!
Jumbo Pink Grapefruit Shower Gel, $15.
* This stuff again, is in a world of it's own. The scent doesn't linger on the skin but while you shower you are immersed in a spa-like heaven of pink grapefruits! It's not drying, it's not too overwhelming (because it doesn't linger too long), and it leaves the skin feeling clean without any "gunk" leftover.
* These shower gels double as pretty good bubble bath and are also often on great sales!
Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream, $16.50
* I typically just purchase the sample travel sizes of this as a lot goes a long way. It's a cooling gel formula that feels great first thing on your face in the morning. I often will put this on and no foundation just to wake my skin up. It feels marvelous. I don't struggle with oil much on my face other than forehead and I notice a difference in that area for sure when this is used. It's the perfect balance of mattifying without caking on.
Vitamin E Moisture Cream, $17.
*This is another product that I generally just purchase in the smaller/cheaper sample size. I have never had another lotion that works so well on my dry skin. It is mostly unscented, soft and creamy, yet gets into the skin "deep". It's moisture lasts and it can even be used sparingly as moisturizer. I love this stuff!
Divine Calm Relaxing Massage Oil, $16.
* I purchased this originally for Nolan as part of an "I'll give you massages" gift. Well, then I sort of took it back for myself hehe. I put this stuff: on my legs after a shower sometimes, in my hair, and in the bath. It is the perfect lavender smell that is delicious but not too overpowering! Lavender is my favorite scent and I can say with certainty that they got it "right" with this product!
I hope you enjoyed this company praise, I'll likely continue them so I can highlight some great, and likely affordable, products for us everyday gals!
Best,
Kenz.
