NYX Butter Lip Balm, Rouge Cream Blush, and Natural Shadow Palette

Hello, all! It's been a day of YouTube madness. I have a channel introduction video that is taking a billion years to upload and it had to start over recently... sigh, still working out the details of it all. This morning I also filmed a review video but am having issues with imovie so I may just have to re-film tomorrow. I'll get the hang of this sooner or later :) In the meantime, I'd like to post the photos and condensed thoughts from the video here and I'll link the video once I get it right. So here we go:

Today I reviewed a few products from NYX Cosmetics. I reviewed three of the butter lip balms, a Rouge Cream Blush,  and the Natural Shadow Palette.

The Butter Lip Balms are so wonderful! For a "no fuss" gal like me, they are the perfect formula to spruce up my makeup, and add some interest to a look, without the hassle of having to line my lips, then apply lipstick, then maintain...etc. The pigment is rich but soft enough that any feathering can be solved with a quick swipe of a finger. They don't stain, last a long time, and moisturize all in one. Generally these kinds of products dry my lips out, but I wear these without any lip prep and they stay looking/feeling nice for a long time. As they wear away, they don't get spotty and gross looking either. It is a soft transition from a colored lip to a naked one throughout the day.

The three colors I reviewed are: Parfait, Ladyfingers, and Panna Cotta. Parfait is my favorite for this time of year. It 's a bright "Barbie" pink perfect for spring. Ladyfingers is a darker berry shade that I feel will work very well for any season, especially fall. It looked beautiful with my gold eyeshadow today and really made my green eyes "pop"! Lastly,  Panna Cotta is a great nude that blended well with my lip shade to moisturize and add a slight sheen without adding much color.

Glow

The Cream Blush I tried was in the color Glow. I am on the fence with the cream blush. I have fairly dry skin and I felt that when applied, it did not "melt" into my skin (when warmed with my fingers), but kind of stayed right where I put it on my cheek. I feel like this could be remedied with moisturizing first on my part, so I'm not writing it off. The color is a slightly coral pink and goes well with the Parfait butter balm.

Natural Shadow Palette

The final item I reviewed is the Natural Palette.  It is all colors I wear in my everyday. It's got a nice highlight, some fun lid colors, a great chocolate brown for the crease, and all in all creates a nice eye look. There are 6 shadows in the palette and I would say 5 have nice color-payoff and lasting power when used with a strong base. Without a base, they dissipate quickly. I'd say for the $5-10 dollar range,  they are worth the money.

Products Can be Purchased at NYX Cosmetics for:
